TestimonialsListen to a "Live with Renee" interview between Renee Schultz and Don Phin telling you why Victims, Villains and Heroes is for you! I let a friend read Victims, Villains and Heroes this memorial day weekend and he told me "it changed his life." Pretty good results for the author, eh?"
Ron Sacino Here are a few more comments about the powerful nature of this workshop: Thank you for your generosity to share with us your experience and knowledge. With the newly acquired knowledge from you, the managers at Gulfstream Goodwill are better equipped to serve our communities.

Azalea C.C. Lin Allow me to introduce myself as Principal Consultant, Learning and Professional Development, PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
I am delighted to have read "Victims, Villains and Heroes". Congratulations! We have a HR Community in India where a person called Ranjith Menon emailed a softcopy to me last Friday, exhorting me to read this over the weekend, which I did. Your book blends wisdom and implementability very well and draws
heavily on literature and philosophy (most subtly), two personal favorites of mine.
Rahul Bose As the General Manager of a fine dining restaurant, I found your book, "Victims, Villains and Heroes" and seminar completely fascinating. I have begun to use your techniques immediately with great success. I have always looked for a way to get to the heart of and improve the results of the interpersonal communications that are so important at every level of the restaurant business. Now that I know the "Plot" and the "Players" I can be more effective in how I communicate and motivate my team. I wish I had this information 25 years ago when I started in this business. I highly recommend these teachings and see the very practical improvements it is making in my work with my team and customers.
Mike Mitchell My staff was very impressed with the recent "Victims, Villains and Heroes" workshop here in Seattle. They all returned with some new tools in their kit. Keep up the good work. Dave Moeller Timi Catherine Gleason Wow, you were so right! Both Tara and I were so unsure of the approach you recommended to us last week. We thought that we should go in and tell Shay the problems that the employees were having with her style and that her style just didn't fit the corporate culture anymore. We cannot thank you enough for your wisdom. If we had done it our way, we would have gotten into a blaming match which would have been very ugly, plus she would have been devastated. This way we took responsibility for our actions, we left our feelings out it and we were very business like and matter-of-fact. It was so much less hurtful to her than if we had done it our way. You are our leader! Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Linda White I'm sure you get tons of testimonials about the success of your speaking engagements but your time at Astute was very enlightening both on a professional and personal level. I've been able to apply your strategy to many different real world scenarios which has bettered me, others and the entire organization - great stuff!! Thanks! Todd M. Tonucci, As the general manager of a medical weight loss practice employing 10 women and over 250 patients, Don Phin's seminar "Managing Emotions in the Workplace" seminar hit the mark! Darcy Kelly WOW - I liked it - could hardly put it down! Saw myself and many others as
characters - very insightful. A few years ago I spent about 9 months as a victim in a work place situation. It took me a long time to realize it was
even happening. Prior to that I had only had very brief interludes as a victim. Your book describes so clearly the roles that the villain and I were playing and helps to shed light on why it took me so long to recognize it. I wish I would have had this information then... It would have saved a lot of agony and wear on my self-esteem.
Thank you! I just want to write a quick note of thanks. I can't tell you enough how going to your seminar last week has impacted my life. The ideas you talked about, I have been repeating on a regular daily basis. I have drawn the blame/justify/line/responsibility picture four or five times to great effect. The 80/20/40 image of managing energy has been particularly useful personally. And last but definitely not least, the parallels of using your ideas in my home life has been amazing! Without going into all the details, let's just say that my husband and I have actually been really communicating since the Friday seminar! Anne Dor, Co-Founder Victims, Villains and Heroes has contributed a valuable piece to my education in relationships, which are the core of my business (and yours!). The old dramas I used to unwittingly play took about 70% of my energy-energy that can now be used productively. I've learned how to avoid the hidden traps of the Victim, the Villain, and the Negative Heroes-the ones at work, and the ones battling it out inside of me. I've stopped trying to save the world and started taking care of me, and ironically--am making MORE of a difference now--and having more fun working, laughing a lot more. I am being my own Hero, and the satisfaction that comes with that is amazing. My effectiveness as a speaker, trainer, and consultant has increased with this knowledge. I am becoming a much wiser woman! Loy and Don, much gratitude. Bobbie Jones I have been studying, learning, and doing my best to apply the best business relationship practices available throughout the years. I began to unravel my own plot around business relationships by reading the original edition of The Plot: Dealing with Feelings and working very closely with Loy Young as I went through the completion of my business partnership. I discovered how deeply all of us are involved in The Plot that we create in order to succeed in business. Once we begin to discover the dimensions of The Plot, it begins to be easier and easier to see others in itand ultimately to catch our own selves in it. What a shock to see how attached we are to being victims, how much we want to be the hero to others but abandon ourselves in order to save them, and how easily we can become the villain when we feel hurt and wronged. Victims, Villains and Heroes is one of the most powerful books you'll ever read, and the distinctions will forever make a difference in the way that you relate to people very close to you in both personal and business relationships. I wish I had had this technology when I was first beginning in business. The Plot has made such a difference in my life, in that of my partners and associates, and all those who will read this book. The power of this work was so obvious to us that we implemented the basic teaching in our business programs. Loy is one of the favorite instructors at our Excellerated Business School for Entrepreneurs. Her business relationship technology supports and helps many to have more profitable relationships and thus make more money. I met Don Phin as a student in the Money and You program presented by Excellerated Business Schools. I was immediately struck by his focus, pragmatism, love, and compassion. Don is the prototype of the new professional for the 21st Century. He understands that his professional success, as well as those around him, has as much to do with people's feelings as it does about anything else. Don's unique ability to bridge various disciplines and take a common-sense approach towards workplace relationships is destined to make a significant contribution to the risk management and compliance industry. We are blessed to have Don working with Loy to co-author Victims, Villains and Heroes. This information is global. Every human being, no matter what race, religion, background, sex, or relationship status can benefit from this technology. This is about how we have a tendency to take up other's space and don't allow them to express themselves, to be, and to grow around us. This is about how we can shrink around certain energies and personalities and not express ourselves fully. This is about becoming a more powerful, clear, and loving business person. I wish you great success in feeling your way out of The Plot. DC Cordova Tools | Links | Testimonials |
